Located in Johannesburg, South Africa, The host of world cup 2010, this house is designed by Nico Van Der Meulen Architects. Actually this project reflected a good cooperation among Nico and Werner van der Meulen as Architects from Nico van der Meulen Architects cc, Interior designer from M Square Lifestyle Design and furniture, interior decoration and feature lights designer from M Square Lifestyle Necessities. And a luxurious home with all beautiful aspect either exterior or interior is resulted.
Next to the front door, a decorative Koi pond flows over a retaining wall near the drive way, with an illuminated glass staircase behind a two storey curtain wall in the background. A strong vertical element is created by the lift shaft finished in rust behind the pond. All of this is framed by a cantilevered concrete beam.
The lounge leads directly onto the deck next to the pool through full width frame less stacking doors, and through the bar to the lanai. An atrium allows the residents to open the living rooms to cool breezes. Via Contemporist
