The new Winter residence is redesign project done by Ibarra Rosano Design Architects, which aims to transform a contemporary 1940′s house in Tucson, Arizona. Actually, the basic idea of this redesign house project start from the owner desire to renovate its bathroom. They want to change their bathroom to be similar or may be better from what they had looked in the hotel where they stayed during their vacation. After evaluate all model aspect, the owner agreed to renovate all part of this house, because it’s looked quite strange when we found minimalist bathroom in 1940′s house model.

An unique house design from Eastern Design Office answered the challanges from the availability of the site. This corner house is located in Youkaichi City in Shiga Prefecture, Japan with its attractive building shape, thin triangular building. When the site availability is not giving advantage for built normal and big house, Eastern Design Office was provoked to design house which is totaly different, very creative.

The work of house design is an integrated work that includes the processes of planning, designing and constructing. The whole processes that started with a good house design ideas can deliver a house with unique and distinctive character that built within good plan and execution. The integrated design can create the space, atmosphere, ambience and other value of the house with strong and distinctive character.

When the project is started based on an idea of house design from the very first process, the whole function, technical aspects and aesthetical point of view as well as social aspects can be structured and planned from the first drawing and planning. There are basic elements that have to be considered and deeply thought for a house’s concept.
