Ethnic Floating House by Hyunjoon Yoo Architects
Hyunjoon Yoo Architects designed Floating House which combine traditional and modern elements. An ethnic Korean house is built on beautiful scenery site and facing the Bukhan River in the north. In the meanwhile, lots of restaurants and motels are seen in the south and decadent neon signs are seen from here to here creating visual pollution. The concept of this ethnic floating house is to create a house where we can enjoy Bukhan River from a high level. This house is planned using Feng Shui and the result is there were no doors facing east and not to let people live in the southwest. Floating House is designed to accommodate the owner wants, a study room, a barbeque place and a guest house for their daughter’s family are available here. They also wanted to make a big yard to play and jump about and a low-leveled swimming pool for their grandchildren. The wife wanted a design that gives a heavy and magnificent feeling.
