Located in the city of Kuala Lumpur, Twenty nine design has designed ”hijauan”, a house surrounded by many mango trees around it. This house is built where lush vegetation is all around, and it is built in a small terrain in a mature residential development. The architects have put the Malayan term “hijau” which means “green” as their directive. The idea has come up to build the “hijauan” house without cutting one single tree on site, as they want to create a residence which seems to be cold in the tropical area like in Kuala Lumpur. Thus, the home of the notch road around the existing greenery, especially the two great 50-year old mango trees along the side boundary. It was meant to make a beautiful house without erasing its natural concept.

This two storey house was built in two different layouts, and the construction made for this house is made very simple and quick. The first floor of this house is all built with the transparent glass that can be opened to the tropical elements. The glass sliding doors are there so to complete an interchangeable elements “inside is outside is inside” environment. The blowing wind, the healing sunlight, and the air circulation of this house can be enjoyed inside the house. Add a minimalist interior design and many of the elements of wood and you have a house that seems specifically designed to escape the long summer. On the first floor bedroom which is protected from the sun with a wooden screen of trees and foliage around. The mass of the entire house has carved out a page that brings to light, air, and green, making the tropical room to breathe.

From outside, the first impression in seeing this hijauan house is that this house combines two main materials. The architects have mixed wood and glass perfectly. They put wooden tiles floor that goes naturally with its surrounding. Those tiles also match perfectly with second floor, as there’re giants windows that are protected with a wooden fence. As the roof the architects also put wooden roof, so it can be seen directly that the concept of this hijauan house is nature. Hijauan house is a minimalist modern house as there are lots of vertical lines come up in its building. Many big pillars stand up solid in it concrete terrace, makes the house looks solid and open with the glass wall. Hijauan house also completed with an interior stylish kitchen that seems so modern, and of course big transparent glass sliding doors are there without forgetting the main concept about openness and nature. It is difficult to differentiate between inside and outside as they fused naturally and perfectly.

All that can be seen outside this house can be enjoyed freely inside the house, as the monstrous glass windows dominated all the corners of the house, and they play their part perfectly as what the architects have arranged. Cassa Finisterra, this impressive house designed by Steven Harris Architects is located in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. This house perfectly mixes between relaxations and modern very perfectly, it sits into the hillside above the water gracefully. This house offers its magnificent beauty of the surrounding and what inside the house itself. Nested along Pacific Ocean, photographs reveal a home that is seemingly open to the breathtaking elements outside thanks to the monstrous windows and cliff-side positioning. Although the house is located in a quite barren surrounding, the architects are able to serve a house that offers beautiful panoramic view of Baja Peninsula. The home takes on contemporary design elements, and is equipped with plenty of outdoor spaces to enjoy the panoramic views including patios and elongated swimming pool, and cactus garden. The panoramic views can be seen freely from inside as the wide transparent window face the sparkling blue of Pacific Ocean.

This aesthetic Cassa Finisterra mixes some of the elements inside the house; this house has put concretes, stone, and glass as the main material of the building. The architects have put some rough walls while in the other side they put some plain material like wide transparent glasses as the media of their wall. These transparent glasses directly facing the ocean so that those who stay inside may enjoy the azure blue of Pacific Ocean views while chatting inside the room. While the rough wall put there gives cooler impression in the room although it’s located in a hot area in the beach. The furniture inside the house is arranged very modern and elegant. The sparkling blue ocean as the views is totally arranged as the landscape of it. Moreover, the swimming pool infinity is fused with the beauty of the beach.

In some corners of the Casa Finisterra, some giant wall stone give an impression between the surrounding harmonious and the house itself. It has lots of giant windows encouraging the circulation and inviting the healing sunlight into the house. And of course, stunning spectacle can be seen through it. Those giant windows may give impact to the sunlight come to the house; so long cantilever was put there to reduce the temperature. So, this slab structure is seen dominated by concrete roof. Inside, the furniture chosen by the architects look classic, they chose pastel color which is not striking the wall color so that they will not divert the attention in enjoying the stunning beauty of its surrounding.

The terrace was built by rough stone walls that can be used as a transfer room which can be used as a relaxation room while enjoying the views. Rough stone wall is also used as divider between the swimming pool infinity and the side wall of the building. It is exposed dominantly from outside so that it can perfectly balance with its surrounding which is dominated with giant stones. The rooms inside the Casa Finisterra are: drive court, entry court, main courtyard, reflecting pool, outdoor living room, swimming pool terrace, swimming pool, cactus gardens, overlook stairs, and rock garden. Cool House Plans by T3arc, The Seed House

The seed house is a cool house plans designed by T3arc which is located in Jiutepec, Mexico. It is a creative concept that is proposed by T3arc as you first see it; you will see that this house is built in a vast terrain surrounded by trees. This idea was come up to make the house beautiful without erasing the natural context where it is built. The construction of the building was made very simple and quick, and the architect has put concrete as the main base building materials.

It is difficult to see the boundaries between outside and inside of this cool house plans, as a kind of transparent glass is made as the wall. This bounded size seed house seems to be a very large house and it is almost no visible division between the rooms. The trees surrounding this house were planted close to each other so that they grow tall and slim. This was meant to cover the south sun while having a completely open facade to them.

The architect of this cool house plans manages to cover the area of the building by three central columns and a concrete beam that completely crosses them as an inverted pendulum, so that there will be no prop in the rest of the house, and the space under the deck can be managed freely. This house only has a master room a small room for kid, while the rest of this house let open. The open area included a bar for cooking and the living and dining areas together with an open view of the landscape. In the north area of this seed house is an open terrace under the sun, which enable us to enjoy a wooden deck that floats over a pond that is used in the garden irrigation system. While in the south garden, there is an open area under the trees that allows us to sit at a shaded table.

Under Pohutukawa House Design by Herbst Architects

Located in Piha, New Zealand, Under Pohutukawa house is designed by Herbst Architets. The concept of this house design project is to create natural dwelling in the jungle which full of sustainable features. Dominated by open space in all of its part, this house design try to collect natural light day and night and minimize the use of electricity.

The topography of the location where this house design is placed was extremely challenging in that it was 90% covered in mature pohutukawa trees, the area was actually a part of a connected belt of jungle that edges the road along the beach front.

The surrounding situation is not so much permitted, but to realize this project, it should sacrifice a large number of mature tress. To do this Herbst Architects made deep research to the jungle itself to give them the clues that they needed.

The architects divided this house design into two part, private and public component to give them smaller individual spaces with which to translate the forms. The master bedrooms and garage which are categorized as private space are housed in two towers which are construed as freshly sawn stumps of the trees that were removed.

To allude to the case of the stumps the skins of the buildings are clad in dark color stained rough sawn irregular battens. The interior parts are again apparent as carved out of the freshly cut wood, achieved by detailing all the wall / ceiling and cabinetry elements in the same light timber.

The public space connects the two towers and attempts to engage with the surrounding pohutukawa forest by defining a crossover space between the powerful natural environment and the built form. The plane of the roof form pins off the towers to engage with the continuous tree canopy, disintegrating from a rigid plane to a frayed edge which filters light in a similar way to the leaf canopy.

The primary structure holding up the roof is a series of treeelements which allude to the trunks and branches of trees but are detailed in a rigorous geometric arrangement which suggests an ordering of nature as it enters and forms the building.

The height of the public space with its light glass division responds to the height of the surrounding trees, the roof planeis partially glass to allow the full extent of the trees to be felt as they lean over the building. A walkway links the towers at the upper level allowing engagement with both the natural and man made canopies.

Maritimo; a house designs by Seferin Arquitectura is located in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. From the outside this house design is clearly divided into different blocks; a two floor cubical brick volume and a ground level glazed space.

The first part of this house design is a private volume which directly connected to the upper deck of the second block. In this block, the architect placed a master bedroom on the second floor, glass window right in the corner is the most interesting point to enjoy surrounding view from the bedroom. The center of this cubical volume has the access way to the deck which located on the top of the second block. For the safety reason, this balcony deck is equipped with metal fence, 1 m in height and surround the deck.

Seferin Arquitectura aimed this deck as a relax place for the whole family. Enjoying sunset from this part of the house designs will be always expected. Right below the deck, we will find living room, dining room and the gourmet area, which are fully integrated. The brick fireplace is outstanding volume of the environment, and can also be used outdoors on the porch.

On the ground floor, the longitudinal block houses all the service of the house, facing an external service circulation with their own access, and a guest suite with private balcony facing the garden back of the house. On the second floor, three suites are connected by a main circulation that opens on to the terrace overlooking the lagoon. The master suite forward on the floor, making the coverage for the car. A large window with view over the area of preservation of the condominium is the focal point of the suite.

Project of the same office, the decoration of the social area, seeks the same language of the house architecture. The materials used externally – brick, wood and cement – are also used internally, bringing the same elements of the facades into the house. Lake House, we named it because of its location that surround a lake. Designed by Frederico Valsassina Architects and toke place in Aroeira, Portugal. A big house with two floors which explore the beauty of the surrounding views. That’s way this house is dominated by large glass windows and walls.

Lake house try to synergy with the Main Lake Golf Course in the Aroeira. The interplay between the remote to contiguous lots and surrounding trees resulted the deployment and disposition of the Lake House’s spaces. The client want to create a house that accommodate the different hostilities’s autonomy; public or private, day or night; by creating a terrace which connect to the pool.

The conditions of deployment of the lot give the advantages, both in terms of topography and its limits, the location of Lake House emphasizes the creation of dominant visual axis in the direction of the immediate surroundings of the lake. Stones Houses Designed by Leroy Street Studio

This house design project is classified into a big and wonderful residence. Designed by Leroy Street Studio, this “Stone Houses” actually consist of two house which are for a mother and daughter in Long Island, New York. Even has the big size, this Stone House need low maintenance which is suitable for women.

Located on 12 acre flat site, LSS occupied Westchester granite and great expanses of glass window to create open space living concept where surrounding view could be enjoyed from inside the house. To unify interior spaces and exterior, LSS used dry stack stone walls for blending the compound together. Water features that link the walls provide an unifying texture and distinguish the private, southern-oriented arrival side of the buildings from the northern-facing curtain walls.

The house for the mother is consist of two part, public and private spaces by a gallery overlooking a sculpture court. The public space, which has a singular volume is divided by wrapping roofs; the upper roof creates an entry vestibule and a living room. Another roof which is lower creates warm dining area and screened porch.

The another house designs which is for the daughter is composed of perpendicular roof planes which over-sail the stone walls; and a taught box of oak glu-lam portal frames wrapped in a continuous skin of louvers.

Overall these two buildings together create a new atmosphere of residence which give comfort for the clients mother and daughter.
