Hotel Room Design by Kengo Kuma Associates
The architects, Kengo Kuma and Associates make very simple design in this hotel room with of course traditional style. Dominated by wooden material, even for its bathroom floor, bathtub and sinks, this hotel room looks so exotic. Kengo Kuma and Associates present traditional nuance in this hotel room quite well, using typical Japanese furniture. A coffee table set made from wood are arranged next to the bedroom, very low without legs.
They just put thick mattress for the bed with king size in front of the glass window. The guest of this hotel can enjoy Kyoto view from the inside while they are lying on the bed. This hotel room design really spoil the guest with different architectural taste. The guest looks like brought to 70′s era in Japan. Warm nuance also can be feel in the first time when we open the room door because almost 95% of this room made from wood with its natural color.
Interior lighting of this hotel room is quite minimal, during day this room maximize the sun light through its large glass window. For night time, the only one lighting come from central lamp above the coffee table. But don’t worry, we can adjust the intensity of the light to meet our requirement.
