Located Atlantic Beach, New York, Belmont Freeman Architects has designed the Kowalewski Residence. Two level minimalist house is placed in an established beach community on Long Island. The detail of exterior is very beautiful, the architects create eye catching wall combination. The arrangement of the windows and the doors improve the beauty of this house. From the interior side, this house looks wider due to less of divider. Room by room of this house are not separated by wall, only use special arrangement of furniture. The design of the stair is quite unique, by using only one steel structure as the center support of the ladder itself.

IKONIKO partnered with the builder Becker General Contractors develop a speculative project in the heart of Cheviot Hills. This house on Kilrenney Avenue is a renovation project of an existing single story house and disconnected garage which was built in 1960. The existing house become the starting point of the new design. In order to be environmentally sensitive, the design preserved the existing building’s exterior walls, floor slab and foundations. This also allowed the existing home to take full advantage of the dramatic views from its corners.
