Busca Vida House was phenomenal project from Andre Luque in 2007. Located in Camaçari, northern coast of Bahia, Brazil, this house was built to connect with the surroundings environment. Mainly the existing vegetation was preserved by the owner and architect as a part of this project. Only one small tree was removed from the site. The house was utilizing natural ventilation and sun light through large glass panels.
Home with this technology is familiar in the area which have high potential of earthquake disaster. Let say Japan and Indonesia, where earthquake always happen through the year. The home design is quite simple but it’s very useful. It’s because of the shock-resistant properties.
To build home with this characteristic, we use special equipment namely Airform or balloon which is used to construct the form of dome house and blowers. System construction is very different from the existing houses in general. This house also use light material such as stereo-foam as a mixed component in the cement slurry. Stereo-foam has more flexibility when shock happen.

Environment Friendly House becomes more attractive today. Why??? The reason is because the issue of global warming encourages us to be wise about nature. Aamer architects also wanted to play a role in preventing global warming in every their house design. They designed The Merlimau House in Singapore. In my opinion, this design is very suitable with the Singapore’s weather. A lot of open space give more air circulation to reduce temperature inside the house.
This house also has green garden with a lot of plants, make the atmosphere become much cooler. The plants help the owner to minimize the use of air conditioner. Not only on the first level but the owner also has small garden on the second level. Long swimming pool in the second level become one attractive point of this house.
