I mention this house as a house that is very environment friendly. Why is that? This house offers many sustainable features such as highly efficient boilers, photovoltaic panels and an Energy-Star rated “cool” roof. Maybe photovoltaic panels has been widely found in many previous house design, while the an Energy-Star rated “cool” roof is something new in home technology. So this house would not be worried about the energy needs of both day and night with these tools.

Tham and Videgard, Swedish Architectural Firm has successfully completed the project called The Garden House. This house is built on 180 sqm area in Viksberg, Sweden.

The owner wanted a beautiful garden as a part of their house, and become a reason why they decided to move from their duplex apartment in central Stockholm to this country side location at lake Mälaren. To full fill customer requirement we proposed a house conceived as an integrated vertical addition to the garden, where indoor and outdoor spaces gradually blend and interact.

Environment Friendly House becomes more attractive today. Why??? The reason is because the issue of global warming encourages us to be wise about nature. Aamer architects also wanted to play a role in preventing global warming in every their house design. They designed The Merlimau House in Singapore. In my opinion, this design is very suitable with the Singapore’s weather. A lot of open space give more air circulation to reduce temperature inside the house.

This house also has green garden with a lot of plants, make the atmosphere become much cooler. The plants help the owner to minimize the use of air conditioner. Not only on the first level but the owner also has small garden on the second level. Long swimming pool in the second level become one attractive point of this house.
