One way to enhance the beauty of a house is by attending a garden at our courtyard. House becomes barren and gives the shady impression. Especially when the summer arrives. For this reason Lutsko Associates create a garden on an urban residential in San Fransisco. The concept of this project is outdoor architecture for everyday living, maximizes the impact and experience of a small space. The sunlight can breakthrough this garden easily because of no roofs on this garden. Other advantage is we can enjoy the garden from second levels balcony instead of from the inside of the house. The design pays careful attention to the sensory experience of materials and planting, which contribute to the richness and beauty of the garden.

Echo House is designed by Kariouk Assocaites and located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

The concept of this project is to marry 84 years of history by integrating a contemporary, open and functional living space inside a 1924 landmark that overlooks the Rideau Canal.

The original home before remodeled was a modest Victorian home in poor condition, whose rooms with small windows and dark interior spaces were separated from one another, as was typical of homes built in an era when privacy was a cultural priority.
