Types of Modern Sanitary
Before choose and buy sanitary, better if we know detail about types of sanitary product. What types were categorized as sanitary? This post will tell more for explaining one by one about sanitary product.
Early time, people made closet as sanitary for defecating. But now sanitary has a lot of types. Sanitary consist of closet, lavatory (water sink), bathtub, bidet, and urinoir. While, other equipment like tap, shower, till jet spray were included in fitting and sanitary accessories category.
Commonly sanitary made from ceramics. Sanitary product made from ceramics has 3 main parts, i.e.: clays, quartz, and water. After through some production process, sanitary made from ceramics are distributed to the customers. But of course after some QC held to ensure the quality and also to check the function of each sanitary products.
Sanitary product also follows the trend and new technique as society requirements. For the example, issue related to water saving trigger sanitary producer to create closet with dual flushing technique, full flash and half flash. Other products have lower water consumption, i.e. closet with water tank capacity 4-6 liters, very economical compared with ordinary closet that needs 11 liters of water.
Closet
Closet are well known as WC, stand for water closet. Inside of closet is completed by neck goose piping. Neck goose piping has an important function for disposing feces well. From the function side, closet is sanitary product which is used to help peoples to do urination or defecation.
For sitting closet, there are two shapes of closet used, i.e. one piece, known as mono block and two pieces. Recently one piece closet is more famous and have higher price.
Raw material for closet usually made from vitreous China. The reason is very simple, this material has no pores so can use to keep high hygiene.
Closet has two main parts, i.e. tank trim and bowl. Tank trim contains flushing equipments which consist of handle as flush movement lever, inlet valve that contains water supply and flush valve which used as water flush mover technique. While, bowl is used for sitting when people defecate.
Lavatory (water sink)
Lavatory is one of important sanitary product and mostly used in a home. Basically, the function of lavatory are for washing hand, washing face, and also brushing teeth. The placement is very flexible, in bathroom, near bathroom door, in the room or in the outdoor area like terrace.
The process production of lavatory is quite the same with closet, but only from their shape which make these two products have different function.
Lavatory consists of some types, i.e. lavatory with pedestal and wall-hung lavatory. Every type has advantages and weakness. Now above counter lavatory become trend in community.
Bathtub
Mostly home has this equipment, even though sometimes people prefer to choose shower for taking a bath. Bathtub can be used to release tired and stress that we get from daily activity. Bathtub can be equipped with holes as water spray. This can refresh our body from stiff. The sensation is like massage therapy. This bathtub is more expensive than the other types of bathtub.
Bidet
Bidet is like washing basin which is used for cleaning your very vital organ. Bidet is also used for urinating for women. Mostly bidet is made from vitreous china, in order to make uniform with closet and lavatory.
We should install bidet as high as our closet and placed side by side with closet to ease when we use it.
Urinoir
Urinoir is one of sanitary types for accommodating men’s urinate. The shape of urinoir is like kangaroo’s pocket hang on the wall. Usually urinoir is used in public toilet. The reason is simple, public toilet needs hygienic and practicality. And urinoir can answer that needs.
The open shape is easier to clean than conventional closet. Commonly, urinoir is hung on the wall with high 30-40 cm from the floor. Urinoir works like closet technique. Water control is placed on the flush valve. the piping system used is connection to the wall. There are three types of urinoir, i.e. urinoir with flush valve, urinoir with flushing pipe, and urinoir with divider.
